Members of the city of Tulsa Pipes and Drums embrace the spirit of "giving and teaching". The bands goal is to share a skill and experience that you will love and enhances your life and the lives of others.
Learning the great highland pipes, and Scottish drumming is a skill that will enable the student the opportunity to not only make music, but to develop life long friendships. Many US cities have a Scottish band and with piping or drumming skills you can almost always count on being able to join a new group of friends.
In addition to having several skilled piping and drumming instructors in the band, the City of Tulsa Pipe and Drums also offers an annual scholarship for Piping and Drumming.
If you want to learn the bagpipes, do NOT buy a set of pipes yet. Do buy a practice chanter, and please contact us if you have any questions.
If you want to learn the drums, do NOT buy drums, but buy a practice pad and drum sticks.
